Why ask for donations?

We realize that reunions can be quite expensive for some, particularly during this economy when many are struggling to make ends meet. The sad fact is, some of our classmates will not attend reunions simply because they cannot afford to.

Sponsorships and donations will allow us to keep reunion expenses down, making it more affordable for all, while still enjoying the best reunions possible.

Your donations will also go towards the subscription costs of this website.  Read the details about subscription fees. 

We are now accepting two types of donations on this website:

INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS - Those who can, please make a cash contribution in any amount you feel is appropriate for you. We only ask that your gift is not less than $5. Your name will be added to our List of Contributors above unless you request to remain anonymous. Gifts of $100 or more will be further recognized with a "++" character beside the contributor's name within the list. The exact gift amounts will remain private for all contributors and any amount is considered generous!

SPONSOR DONATIONS - Do you operate your own business or service, or do you know a local business that may be interested in sponsoring part of our reunion? In exchange for a minimum donation of $100 (or a trade of goods), your business or service will have a presence on our website and at our reunion events. Your name will also appear on the list of contributors above and hyper-linked from there to your ad on Our Sponsors page.

More About Subscription Fees

This website provides classmates a way to reunite without having to put up with spam or a webpage cluttered with advertisements. 

Recently, Class Creator began selling subscriptions for setting up a reunion website like ours.  Profile registrations remain free for individual classmates though.  The company kindly "grandfathered" their existing customers' websites and for several months we have been lucky enough to run our website for only the cost of registering our unique domain name, FHHS79.COM. 

Paid subscribers do have upgrades and benefits that the grandfathered sites do not, therefore we have chosen to purchase a subscription.  We will be purchasing the upgrade later this year after the release of the new Community Photo Galleries. Other new features with the upgrade include Integrated Live Chat, Instant Messaging, unlimited Threaded Message Forums, and improved Private Email. The upgrade also includes less obvious improvements that help this website function more smoothly and allows for better administration, reporting, and maintainance.

Thanks to your generous donations so far, we can afford the 5-yr subscription upgrade for $349. If donations continue, we may consider the 10-yr subscription for $549.
